Fresh Season has a simple problem that matters more than its pretty opening. The amber and cedar base is too thin to support the bright citrus that comes before it, so the drydown feels a bit bare compared to what the first spray promises.
Bergamot and Sicilian lemon lead with a clean, direct sourness that stays sharp rather than sweet. Neroli and mint move in quickly, adding a cool floral breath that keeps the citrus from feeling heavy. Rosemary brings a green, herbal edge that cuts through the sweetness of the amber waiting underneath.
The musk and cedar give the fragrance a gentle anchor that keeps it present through a warm morning without ever pushing outward. It stays near the skin while the lemon and mint do their work, then settles into a soft, pale wood that lingers through the afternoon without growing louder.
The composition never quite balances its two halves. The top feels vivid and complete, while the base feels like it is missing a few steps. If you want a citrus scent that builds a deep foundation, this one leaves you wanting more weight once the lemon fades.
