Zaad Arctic opens with a brisk slap of bergamot and grapefruit, the citrus gleaming like sunlight on a frozen lake. Cypress and geranium add a green, slightly peppery sharpness, like crushed pine needles underfoot. The base of amber, oakmoss, and cedar is dry and woody, but it never warms up much; this is a fragrance that stays cool to the touch.
The overall image is a man standing on a frosty dock in early spring, sipping cold black tea while the river thaws around him. It is crisp, aromatic, and largely synthetic in the best way, leaning into a clean, translucent freshness rather than anything heavy or gourmand.
