Our take

Moira opens with a brisk shake of cinnamon and pepper. The spice is dry and immediate, landing with a gentle heat that does not overwhelm the entrance. It sets a clear tone of warmth before the center of the fragrance takes over.

Tobacco leaf and frankincense form the core, supported by the resinous weight of labdanum and the soft, apricot-like floral touch of osmanthus. The frankincense adds a faintly medicinal, churchy air that keeps the tobacco from feeling too casual. Labdanum pushes the blend toward a thick amber texture.

The foundation is dense with atlas cedar, patchouli, cypriol, and vetiver. Iso E Super smooths the edges of the wood, while musk adds a clean underside to the earthy roots. Vanilla pod sits inside the base, rounding the sharper edges of the spice and the bitter green of the vetiver without turning the mixture sugary.

This is a scent for heavy sweaters and dim rooms, where the air is cool and the lighting is low. The warmth of the cinnamon and the depth of the resins suit a quiet, indoor atmosphere. It feels at home in a space filled with dark wood and leather furniture. The blend closes on the steady presence of vanilla.
