Our take

Parisian Mint opens with a synthetic bite that can feel sharp and almost medicinal. The mint note leans heavily on that cooling, artificial edge rather than offering a natural herbal freshness. Mandarin orange and bergamot provide a bright lift at the start, but they cannot fully smooth out the harsh initial impression.

The heart introduces lavender, pine, violet leaf, and melon. Lavender and pine reinforce the green character established earlier, while violet leaf adds a crisp leafy quality. The melon note tries to introduce a soft roundness, yet it often clashes with the sharper aromatics instead of blending seamlessly.

In the base, musk, patchouli, and cedar ground the composition. The musk and cedar offer a clean, dry foundation, but the patchouli here carries a muddy, flat weight. This heaviness sits awkwardly beneath the bright top and heart, making the transition between stages feel disjointed rather than cohesive.

The overall harmony suffers because the synthetic mint opening never truly integrates with the earthy base. Parisian Mint feels like two different fragrances forced together, leaving a rough, uncoordinated impression from start to finish.
