Spiritum 22 Universal Mind opens with a sharp bite of Sichuan pepper and ginger, brightened by a cool thread of absinthe. Bulgarian rose and freesia soften the edges, but the frankincense keeps the entrance dry and reverent rather than sweet.
Cedar essence and orange blossom carry the heart, where jasmine and geranium add a soapy, slightly green lift. Cinnamon warms the blend without turning it gourmand, sitting closer to bark than to candy.
Amber and vanilla anchor the base, rounded out by sandalwood and vetiver. Sage and ambrette bring an herbal, slightly salty dryness, while musk and incense leave a powdery, meditative finish that feels more temple than boutique.
The composition is thoughtful and well balanced, but the absinthe and pepper can feel scratchy on skin that prefers smooth, creamy florals. It is not a safe blind buy for anyone who dislikes that sharp, medicinal edge in the opening.
