The sun has just set over a quiet garden terrace. A low wooden table holds a shallow bowl of peeled apricot halves and a small jar of dark honey. Someone slices into a fresh bitter orange, and the bright spray hits the air first, quickly joined by the sharp bite of ginger and pepper.
