Fragrance notes
Character
A basement jazz club fills with warm air as the door swings shut. Smoke from burning incense curls near the ceiling while bay leaf and black pepper prick the air at nose level. Jasmine rises through the dim room, soft and white, woven through cacao pod and tobacco that rest on nearby tables. Vanilla and tonka bean round the edges of the space, sweet but not sugary, sitting beside a musky base that feels lived in. Castoreum adds a leathery weight to the corners of the room, while oud and sandalwood ground the atmosphere against the cedar paneling that lines the walls. The air feels animalic and close, a powdery haze that settles into wool coats and wooden chairs.
Someone leans back with a drink as the scent wraps around the room. The fresh spice of the opening lingers near the entrance while the heart notes drift deeper into the crowd. White floral touches move through the smoke without brightening it, and the warm spicy accord keeps the temperature feeling high. Natural musk repeats in the heart and the base, pulling the entire scene together so the boundaries between notes blur. Oud and cedar anchor the floor while the animalic accord presses against the skin. The evening continues with the fragrance sitting heavy in the air, mixing with the low sound of instruments and the quiet conversation that fills the space
