JEMS 1 Jasmine Otto
Fragrance notes
Character
JEMS 1 Jasmine Otto focuses almost entirely on jasmine in several forms. The Italian jasmine at the top gives a bright, slightly green opening that feels fresh rather than heavy. Night blooming jasmine and star jasmine fill the heart with a dense, creamy white floral character that dominates the entire composition. Natural musk and oud sit underneath to add a faintly animalic and woody edge, but they never compete with the flower.
The jasmine sambac in the base keeps the scent sweet and powdery as it continues. It leans into the fruity accord that runs through the mix, giving the petals a soft, slightly ripe quality. The musk smooths the texture so the floral mass does not feel sharp or thin. For a masculine release, it stays firmly in the white floral space without trying to balance the flower with fresh herbs or citrus.
Arthur Clay Emrick composed a fragrance that stays true to its single idea. It suits someone who enjoys a pure jasmine scent and does not mind a musky, sweet drydown. The powdery finish may feel too heavy for those who prefer airy, transparent florals. It works well in warm weather when white flowers feel natural, and it fits occasions where a clear floral presence is welcome
