Black currant and apple open Supremacy Not Only Intense with a tart, juicy sweetness, and bergamot slots in right alongside, giving the fruit a citrus edge instead of letting it turn purely sweet.
Oakmoss and patchouli take the heart into mossy, earthy territory fast, a sharp turn from the fruit, and lavender adds a cool, aromatic lift right on top of the moss. The shift from fruit basket to forest floor happens quickly, inside the first while of wearing it, and it is the most interesting thing about the whole composition.
Ambergris, musk and saffron close things out warm and faintly animalic, giving the drydown a spiced, skin-like depth that lingers after the moss has settled down. Wear time runs on the long side, holding firm well after fresher fruity openings would have given up, and the sillage carries genuine reach, the sort that reaches a room before the wearer finishes crossing it. Imran Fazlani composed a fragrance here that shifts fully three times, fruit to moss to skin, without ever losing its warmth along the way, which is a harder trick than it sounds.
