Our take

The sun has just set over a quiet courtyard in early November. Stone walls hold the day's warmth while bare branches scratch at the sky. Someone sits on a cold bench near a fading lantern, their scarf wrapped tight against the air. The scent rising from their sleeve is deep and resinous.

Benzoin and vanilla merge into a thick, golden resin that feels heavy on the skin. It does not reach across the courtyard, but it lingers close to the body for hours, wrapping the wearer in a continuous, steady haze. Patchouli adds an earthy depth that keeps the sweetness grounded in soil rather than sugar.

A slice of orange brightens the air for a moment before the woods take over completely. Sandalwood and cedar provide a dry, polished foundation that supports the balsamic weight above it. The fragrance feels like a thick wool coat draped over a silk shirt, substantial and textured.

The mossy base creeps in slowly, mixing with the amber to create a powdery, antique finish. It smells like a room filled with old books and burning resin, intimate and personal. The final impression is a warm, woody amber.
