Our take

Tana Meadow opens with a brisk snap of ginger and mandarin that feels bright and sunlit. Pear adds a juicy softness, while cypress threads through with a clean, green edge that keeps the start from leaning too heavy. The heart shifts into a creamy floral blend where coconut and white orchid meet rose and jasmine. Orris smooths the transition, giving the flowers a powdery, slightly rooty texture that stops the coconut from turning tropical. Praline and vanilla arrive in the base, sweet and warm, with musk and ambroxan wrapping the whole composition in a soft, amber-tinged haze. It smells like a city park in late morning, when the air is warm but the shade still feels crisp.

The lactonic richness is the point, but it can also be the problem. On skin, the coconut and praline sometimes sit thick enough to flatten the ginger and cypress that made the opening so appealing. The rose and jasmine get a little lost once the vanilla takes hold, leaving a scent that feels more like a gourmand musk than the fresh floral it promises at first. If you want a light, airy garden fragrance, this one eventually moves in a heavier direction that may not match your expectation.
