Our take

Amore Mio opens with a spritz of Amalfi lemon so sharp it almost stings, then quickly softens into a syrupy crush of litchi and black currant, like fruit left too long in the sun. The heart is where it gets interesting: cherry and almond weave together with a handful of anonymous white flowers, creating a candy-sweet, vaguely marzipan middle that feels less like a garden and more like a bakery display case with a stray blossom tucked under the glass. On dry down, the tonka and Virginia cedar try to ground things, but the musk is faint, the whole affair evaporates faster than a sigh. This is a lightweight, unabashedly synthetic fruity gourmand, the olfactory equivalent of a rainbow sprinkle on a vanilla cupcake: cute, colorful, and gone within two hours. The sillage is a whisper, the longevity a disappointment. It suits someone who wants a cheerful, uncomplicated spritz for a spring morning at the farmer's market or a lazy afternoon in the sun, no thinking required. Skip it if you crave depth, staying power, or anything that doesn't smell like a teenager’s first perfume allowance. It works best in daylight, preferably with a breeze to carry what little trail it has. A charming novelty, but not a keeper.
