The development is fast and shallow: within minutes, the citrus fizzles out and leaves you with a flat, powdery lily and a synthetic white musk that clings to the skin like a film of sunscreen that never quite absorbs. The cashmere wood and amber are barely whispers in the base, buried under a cloud of waxy sweetness. The overall effect is less a sunlit beach and more a sticky hairspray at a middle school dance in July, all nose-blind glitter and regret.
