Melle Cléo
Fragrance notes
Character
Melle Cléo opens with litchi and bergamot that feel bright and slightly juicy. Palisander rosewood adds a dry, polished wood edge to the fruit, keeping the start from leaning fully sweet. The citrus lifts the top quickly, then steps aside as the heart takes over.
Rose and ylang-ylang form a soft, rounded floral center. Night blooming cereus brings a creamy white flower tone that smooths the rose rather than sharpening it. The heart stays powdery and lightly tropical, with the ylang-ylang adding a gentle richness that moves the fragrance toward comfort.
Cotton flower and lichen carry the drydown. The cotton flower feels clean and slightly fuzzy, like fresh fabric, while the lichen adds a cool, pale green touch that keeps the base from turning heavy. These notes hold their shape through the day and stay near the skin, where the scent remains present without spreading outward.
The sweetness in the accords is real, and on some skin it builds into a candied floral that can feel a bit much. The composition suits daytime wear, but anyone who prefers dry, restrained florals may find the fruit and powder too prominent.
