Emeraude Gourmande opens with a bright flash of orange and bergamot, but the citrus is quickly overtaken by a thick ribbon of caramel. Red fruits add a tart edge to the start, while coconut brings a creamy softness that keeps the intro from feeling sharp.
Jasmine sambac and orange blossom form a white floral heart that feels slightly indolic and heavy. Patchouli anchors the flowers with an earthy, dark streak. The transition here is slow, and the middle phase lingers for a significant portion of the wear.
Vanilla and musk take over to create a deep, resinous foundation. The vanilla is rich and almost syrupy, merging with the remaining caramel to form a persistent sugary blanket. This base clings to the skin and keeps the scent present through a cool evening walk or a quiet indoor gathering.
The powdery facet of the musk can become overwhelming on the skin, occasionally clashing with the heavy gourmand notes. It lacks the airy lift found in lighter floral compositions, making it a difficult choice for anyone sensitive to dense, sweet aromas.
