Fragrance notes
Character
The heavy door of a wood-paneled lounge swings shut, cutting off the street noise. Inside, the air is dense with the scent of old timber and heated resin. A man settles into a leather chair near the fireplace, and the fragrance on his skin merges with the room. It is a dry, animalic warmth built around sandalwood and amber. There is no bright opening here, just the immediate presence of ebony and incense that feels carved from the dark interior of the building itself.
Patchouli adds an earthy weight that grounds the airy neroli, preventing the citrus from feeling out of place against the heavy wood. The musk is powdery and deep, wrapping around the guaiac wood to create a texture that feels rough under the fingertips. It is a scent that belongs to a space filled with smoke and shadow, where the cold is kept on the other side of the glass. The amber glows quietly, lending a spicy heat to the stillness of the room without ever becoming sweet or cloying.
Cypriol lends a mineral sharpness to the floorboards beneath the rug, a scent that suggests ancient stone and burning leaves. The atmosphere is thick with the smell of the ebony paneling, the fragrance sitting heavily in the folds of a wool coat. It is the olfactory equivalent of a dimly lit study where the only sound is the crackle of burning logs and the clink of a glass on a table.
