A low wooden table holds a glass of dark rum beside a plate of cinnamon-dusted chocolate. The air is cool and still. Cacao arrives first, dry and bitter rather than creamy, with cinnamon adding a sharp heat that cuts through the evening air. It feels immediate and grounding, like walking into a room lit only by a fireplace.
The heart deepens as tobacco and almond join the cacao. The almond is smooth and powdery, softening the tobacco leaf without making the blend sweet. Resins add a thick, golden weight that pulls the scent closer to the skin. It is a warm spicy composition that stays close to the moment, anchored by the amber and balsamic tones that give the air a heavy, settled feeling.
Vetiver and musk form a woody base beneath the rum and incense. The incense curls upward, smoky and quiet, while the rum note carries a fermented richness that avoids turning sugary. Everything here is dark, resinous, and composed. Maria Furini crafted a fragrance that sits entirely in this one dim space. The final impression is a blend of cacao and tobacco.
