Jasmine and ylang-ylang open Lust together, a thick, tropical white floral pairing that smells like the inside of a flower shop after closing, heady and a little narcotic. Lush built this one as an oil-based fragrance first, and that heritage shows in how densely the florals sit on skin.
Rose joins partway through, adding a fresher, greener edge to what would otherwise be an unrelentingly heavy bouquet, and the balance between the two feels intentional: the flowers stay honeyed and warm without curdling into anything sickly. Vanilla waits underneath the whole time, a low sweetness that never quite steps forward until the top notes have burned away.
Sandalwood carries the drydown alongside that vanilla, and here the fragrance earns its long reputation among fans of heavy florals. The wood turns creamy and slightly milky, wrapping the jasmine in something soft, and the whole combination sticks around on skin and fabric for a long haul, still perceptible well after application. Sillage runs noticeable, leaving a trail strong enough that people nearby will ask what you are wearing.
Save it for evening, when its density has room to unfold, away from daylight and the lighter scents most people wear during the day. This is not a fragrance built for subtlety; wearing it that way misses the point.
