Our take

Sunset Caramel opens with a milky, almost lactonic sheen, the coconut and almond softening the anise’s licorice-like edge into something creamy rather than sharp. Within minutes, the heart blooms into a bouquet of white florals and stone fruits - ylang ylang, orange blossom, nectarine, peach - all sugared and slightly powdery from heliotrope. The drydown lands firmly on a gourmand base of caramel and bourbon vanilla, with sandalwood and tonka adding a faint woody warmth that keeps it from tipping fully into candy shop territory.

The overall image is a sundae melting on a wicker table at dusk: the whipped cream has slumped, the cherry has bled into the syrup, and a stray flower petal floats in the puddle. It feels sweet and consciously synthetic in the best mainstream niche crossover sense, but the longevity is a disappointment at just over three hours, and the sillage stays close to skin after the first hour. This fragrance suits someone who wants a soft, edible hug for a spring or summer daytime outing - a brunch date, a lazy stroll, or an afternoon spent reading in a park. Skip it if you need projection or staying power for a full workday or a night out; the caramel here evaporates too quickly to hold court after sunset.
