M2 Black March
Fragrance notes
Character
M2 Black March opens like a cold fistful of forest floor. The soil tincture hits first, raw and mineral, as if you’ve pressed your nose to damp earth after the last snow melts. Green notes rise with a bitter, stemmy crackle, and the water note is less a clean splash than the smell of a creek swollen with runoff. It’s all mud and moss and the first tentative shoots of spring. The oak moss and woody accords creep in slowly, drying down to a quiet, almost melancholic hum of wet bark and leaf litter.
This is not a perfume you wear so much as a scent you walk through. One vivid image: it’s the moment you break a twig and hold the splintered green wood to your nose, standing in a clearing where the mist hasn’t quite lifted. Entirely natural, deeply niche, with a hyperrealism that makes most mainstream aquatics feel like plastic pool toys.
There is no sweetness, no warmth, no comfort. That is its brilliance and its limitation. Longevity barely reaches two hours on skin. Sillage is a whisper. You will have to reapply. This is for the person who wants to smell like mud and memory, not projection. Best worn in early spring, alone, on a grey morning walk. Skip it if you expect compliments, or if you’ve never felt the urge to press your palm into damp soil and just breathe.
