Virtus opens with a cool brush of Calabrian bergamot and sage that sits beside a soft French violet. The iris and jasmine add a clean, slightly soapy edge to the first impression. Turkish rose lends a gentle floral lift before the composition moves inward.
The heart rests on Texas cedar and sandalwood, with cinnamon and cloves bringing a dry, warm heat. Indonesian patchouli leaf adds an earthy weight that keeps the spices from feeling bright. The woods here feel polished and steady rather than rough.
Guaiac wood and oud anchor the base alongside amber and incense. Haitian vetiver and white musk smooth the edges so the smoke and resin do not bite. The amber deepens the wood without turning sweet, and the incense lingers in the background like a room that was lit hours ago. A heavy coat, a cold sidewalk, and the air smelling of cedar and clove. The violet from the start now reads as a fine powder over dark planks, and the patchouli keeps the amber grounded while the vetiver hums beneath the surface
