Bukra by Parfum de Mahzen opens with a sharp, powdery violet that sits beside a tart red currant and a dusting of cinnamon. The fruit is present but restrained, leaning more toward the tart skin than the syrup inside. Cloves add a dry heat that keeps the raspberry from reading as candy, while the rose in the top layer is soft and slightly soapy rather than fresh or dewy. This is not a bright or airy opening. The spices give it an immediate warmth that feels settled rather than sparkling, and the violet pulls the entire first impression toward a muted, velvety texture.
The heart brings incense and patchouli that deepen the spice without turning bitter. Sandalwood smooths the edges and prepares the base, where oud and amber take over with a heavy, resinous weight.
