Our take

It opens with a rum-soaked wink, slightly herbal from artemisia, but this isn’t a boozy barnstormer. The milk note slips in fast, softening the edges into something creamy and almost edible, like toasted wood stirred into warm vanilla custard. Guaiac wood and tonka keep the heart gently smoky, while the base layers sandalwood and vetiver over that sweet powder, grounding it without turning dirty. The dry down is a quiet hum of vanilla and soft wood, comfortable as a worn cardigan.

This fragrance feels like the last hour of a fireplace: the flames have died, but the stones still radiate warmth, and someone left a glass of spiked milk on the mantel. It’s intimate, thoroughly natural in its creaminess, and decidedly niche in its refusal to shout. The sillage is close, barely a puff, and longevity taps out after four or five hours, which is the honest letdown. A 3.95 rating makes sense — pleasant, lovely even, but not a heavy hitter.

Wear it on a crisp autumn afternoon or a snowy winter morning when you want to smell like a hug, not a billboard. It suits anyone who loves lactonic woods and soft gourmands, but skip it if you crave projection or a loud statement. This is a scent for the person who leans in to catch their own sleeve, not for the room.
