Character
Morning light hits a stone terrace overlooking a river, and the air carries the tart snap of blackberry crushed beside fresh bergamot. A thread of birch tar curls through the opening, dark and dry, before giving way to a thick garden of roses. Bulgarian, Damask, Turkish, and French varieties bloom together with jasmine and rose leaf, their petals dusted with saffron and galbanum. Cognac and black fig add a rich, sticky sweetness, while tobacco and leather press in with a smoky, resinous weight.
Incense and papyrus drift through the heart, joined by copaiba balm and Moroccan rose. The fruit never fully fades, but it grows heavier, mingling with cassis and Egyptian pelargonium. Each note feels layered and dense, the florals wrapped in spice and balsam. The composition moves with a slow, deliberate pace, letting the rose and tobacco linger in the warm air.
The base settles into Cambodian oud and frankincense, supported by atlas cedar and Australian sandalwood. Indian patchouli and vetiver ground the blend, while amber, ambergris, and labdanum create a golden, balsamic warmth. Hyrax, castoreum, and natural musk bring an animalic depth that feels raw and close to the skin. Oakmoss and myrrh add a final earthy shadow beneath the sweetness.
The entire scene smells of sun on ancient stone, river mist, and blooming gardens. It is a scent for a person who wants a rose that refuses to stay polite, wrapped in wood and resin. Wear it while walking through a garden when the air is warm and the petals are heavy with heat.
