La Reine des Fleurs
Fragrance notes
Character
La Reine des Fleurs opens with peach, bergamot, and mandarin orange brightened by jasmine. The citrus provides a clean lift while the fruit adds roundness, and the jasmine bridges the opening to the florals that follow.
The heart centers on Moroccan rose and Turkish rose, supported by orris and rose geranium. The two roses feel distinct rather than blended into a single impression, with the orris lending a soft texture and the geranium adding a green edge.
Sandalwood and patchouli form the foundation, joined by vanilla, Tahitian vanilla, Siam benzoin, moss, Peru balsam, civet, and tolu balsam. The balsams and benzoin create warmth, the civet adds weight, and the moss keeps the base from becoming entirely sweet.
The overall impression is a dense floral resting on a dark, resinous base that smells like a heavy velvet curtain in a wood-paneled room.
