Our take

A bright burst of orange, blood orange, mandarin, and bergamot opens this composition, supported by neroli and African orange flower. Coriander and tarragon add a green, slightly sharp edge to the citrus, keeping the entrance from leaning fully into candy. The top feels lively and aromatic rather than heavy, with the orange varieties carrying most of the weight while the herbs provide a clean lift.

The heart gathers a large floral bouquet anchored by jasmine, tuberose, rose, and lilac. Champaca and osmanthus bring a soft fruitiness that blends into the black currant, while white honey smooths the edges of the cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Orris and angelica add rooty depth, and marigold and orchid fill the middle with a warm, slightly powdery density. The spices never dominate, but they keep the flowers from floating without direction.

Myrrh, leather, tobacco, and oakmoss form a dry, resinous base that pulls the sweetness downward. Benzoin, French labdanum, Peru balsam, and vanilla contribute amber richness, while patchouli, sandalwood, Virginia cedar, and vetiver supply wood and earth. Cumin and tonka bean deepen the warmth, and cassis and ambrette linger near the fruit already present in the heart. The overall impression is floral, amber, and warm spicy.
