CIEL Pour Femme
Fragrance notes
Character
CIEL Pour Femme opens with a bright rush of peach and red apple, joined by the tart snap of black currant and lemon. The fruit feels fresh rather than candied, giving the entrance a clean energy that suits a morning commute or a weekend brunch. It does not weigh the air down.
The heart settles into plum and orange blossom, with freesia and rose adding a soft floral layer. The composition stays fruity and sweet while the white floral accord keeps it from becoming a simple fruit salad. It feels polished and modern, sitting comfortably between casual and dressy.
Cashmeran and tonka bean form a woody, amber base that carries benzoin and patchouli. The powdery and musky accords give the drydown a gentle finish that rests close to the skin. It smells like sunlight on a city sidewalk, warm but not heavy.
The blend leans heavily on synthetic fruit that can read a bit sharp if you overspray. Christine Nagel composed a cheerful fragrance, but the balance sometimes tips toward a perfume counter vibe that lacks nuance. It is a pleasant daily choice, though not a complex one.
