Arc-en-Ciel № 20
Fragrance notes
Character
Arc-en-Ciel № 20 does not hold back. The honey and amber in the base sit heavy, and the patchouli underneath carries a dark, animalic edge that some will find overwhelming. It is a fragrance that demands a certain tolerance for sweetness pushed to its limit.
Sweet orange and raspberry lead the opening, bright and loud. Neroli sits beside them, sharp and clean. The heart brings orange blossom, jasmine, and gardenia, a dense white floral wall that feels thick rather than airy. There is nothing subtle happening in the middle of this composition.
The honeyed fruit and the deep base feel right when the air is cold enough to see your breath and the sky is a pale, clear gray over a yard full of bare branches. The scent hangs in the air like a thick ribbon of warm gold draped over a frozen garden.
