Twice by Iceberg opens with a bright, spritzy burst of aldehydes and peach, like the fizz of a Prosecco cork hitting a conservatory ceiling on a spring morning. The freesia and lily-of-the-valley keep things clean and almost soapy, while bergamot adds a slight tartness before the heart floods in with a dense bouquet of gardenia, jasmine, violet, and orris. It is a proper white floral overload, powdered and creamy, with the honey in the base lending a warm, slightly sticky sweetness that keeps the whole thing from floating away entirely. The dry down settles into a soft musky woodiness, sandalwood and cedar wrapped in amber, but the sillage here is a whisper, not a shout, and the longevity hovers just north of three hours before it becomes a skin scent you have to chase.

This is a perfume that feels like a pastel watercolor in a glass bottle, all soft edges and polite bloom. It smells unmistakably of the mid-nineties, and if you like your florals airy, feminine, and slightly retro, you will find it charming. But if you want projection, presence, or anything that lasts through a workday, you will be disappointed. It is best worn on a lazy Saturday in early May, a light spritz for brunch or a walk through a botanical garden, when you want to smell fresh and pretty without demanding attention. Skip it if you need your perfume to do the heavy lifting.
