Our take

The Art of Mosaic Tiles is a fragrance for the person who wants a sweet citrus scent that still feels grounded in wood. The opening makes the case immediately with grapefruit, bergamot, and mandarin orange brightened by rhubarb and violet. This is not a sharp, thin citrus that disappears into the air. The inclusion of tonka bean and benzoin in the heart gives the bright start a creamy, resinous weight that keeps it from feeling like a simple summer spray. Orange blossom and musk soften the edges so the transition feels smooth rather than abrupt.

Prann builds the argument further by anchoring the sweetness with cedar and sandalwood. Praline and jasmine deepen the gourmand impression, but cardamom and coffee pull the composition back toward something earthy and aromatic. It is a warm spicy profile that sits comfortably on skin without becoming cloying. The vanilla and amber elements round out the texture so the fragrance reads as polished rather than loud. Olivier Cresp composed a blend that balances the sugar with enough dry wood to satisfy someone who usually avoids gourmands.

Wear this when the morning sun hits a wooden table where a fresh mandarin sits next to a cup of dark coffee and a bowl of cream.
