It is a unisex fragrance that leans indulgent rather than fresh, with a texture that feels creamy and a little heavy on the skin. The later stages of Layebana stay focused on that same sweet, tobacco-laced core, with the jasmine sambac continuing to weave through the richer notes. The dulce de leche and sugar do not fade into the background, so the scent remains firmly in dessert-like territory for as long as it stays present. Elemi provides a faint resinous lift, though it never cuts the sweetness in a meaningful way. The lactonic accord keeps the texture smooth and a bit dense from start to finish. The limitation here is that the composition lacks contrast. With so much sweetness and creaminess packed into every layer, there is little room for nuance, and the scent can feel one-dimensional for those who prefer more varied development.
