Our take

Duuoh is a warm-weather companion for the man who wants wood without weight. The opening pairs lemon and Calabrian bergamot in a bright, sunlit rush that feels at home on a patio when the air is finally soft enough for linen. Palisander rosewood and Virginia cedar arrive early, keeping the citrus from floating away by grounding it in a dry, aromatic frame. Sandalwood and bourbon vanilla sit underneath, adding a creamy warmth that never turns heavy. The powdery accord pulls the sharper edges into a smooth finish, while the fresh spicy and warm spicy facets give the blend a gentle lift. This is not a cold-weather cloak. It is a fragrance built for movement and light, and the citrus-wood balance makes that purpose clear from the first spray.

The limitation here is the vanilla. Bourbon vanilla is generous, but in this composition it leans sweet enough that anyone who prefers strictly dry, austere woods will find the base too rounded for their taste. The creamy sandalwood amplifies that softness rather than reining it in, so the overall impression stays on the gourmand side of aromatic. Caroline de Boutiny composed a fragrance that knows exactly where it wants to be, and that clarity is part of its strength. If you expect a crisp, bitter wood with no trace of dessert, this blend will not satisfy that preference.
