Perle Rare Grey
Fragrance notes
Character
Perle Rare Grey opens with black currant and bergamot brightened by star anise. The fruit is tart rather than sweet, and the anise adds a clean lift that keeps the start from feeling heavy. Mint enters soon after, joined by narcissus and jasmine sambac. The mint is cooling without turning medicinal, and the white florals soften the spice so the early stage stays approachable.
The drydown carries more weight. Leather and oud sit at the center, supported by frankincense and musk. The leather is dry and slightly resinous, the oud woody and calm, and the frankincense adds a steady, faintly smoky haze that lingers behind the other notes. Musk rounds the edges so the base does not turn sharp. Green and aromatic threads from the top continue through the bottom, tying the whole composition together. It feels polished and composed, with a clear progression from fresh spice to resinous wood. Wear it on clear days when the air is cool enough to let the leather and incense unfold without rushing.
