Privee No6
Fragrance notes
Character
Privee No6 opens with a bright black currant note that feels wet and tart. It gives the fragrance an immediate fruity lift that stays present as the other elements gather. This is not a heavy gourmand fruit, but a fresh one that sits comfortably beside the cleaner aspects of the blend.
The heart brings forward jasmine sambac and rose, supported by cyclamen and narcissus. The white floral character is clear, with the jasmine providing a rich, slightly indolic texture. The rose adds a soft petal tone, while the narcissus contributes a faint green touch that keeps the flowers from becoming too sweet.
Patchouli and oud form the base, joined by incense and benzoin. The oud here is woody and mild, while the patchouli adds an earthy depth. The incense introduces a smoky accord that balances the earlier florals, and the benzoin provides a soft spicy warmth that rounds out the dry texture.
The composition has a distinct aquatic quality that sometimes dilutes the richer base notes. The watery accord can make the oud and incense feel thinner than they should be, which lessens the impact of the darker materials.
