Our take

Naja announces itself with an audacious slap of honeyed tobacco and a melon so ripe it verges on aquatic. The opening is sweet, almost cloyingly so, but the lime blossom cuts through with a sharp, green freshness that keeps the whole thing from tipping into syrup. As it settles, osmanthus pushes forward with its apricot-leather character, while the honey thickens and the tobacco turns dusky. The base is a warm, slightly powdery floral haze, surprisingly light on its feet given the weight of those notes.

The overall effect is like stepping into a humid greenhouse where a forgotten peach has begun to ferment on the vine. It smells natural in its weirdness, not synthetic, but deliberately odd; this is niche fragrance that refuses to be pretty in an obvious way. The sillage is modest at three-point-one-two, meaning you get close to detect the strange melon-fuzz and the hay-like tobacco, and longevity clocks in at a solid but not spectacular three-seventy-five. It works best in spring and fall, when the air carries enough moisture to soften its edges. The day wear bias makes sense: sunshine pulls out the ozonic, watery facets.

Naja suits someone who enjoys floral fragrances with a dirty, almost animalic undertone, who wants to smell like a garden after a sudden rain. Skip it if you prefer clean, straightforward sweetness or if aquatic notes give you a headache. This is a fragrance for contemplation, not a crowd-pleaser, and its quiet presence rewards those who lean in.
