Our take

Sexy Garrigue opens with a resinous slap of labdanum and amber, sticky and almost medicinal, a green herbal bitterness curling underneath like wild thyme crushed between fingers. The pine needle note is the surprise here — it steals in not as a Christmas tree but as a dry, sun-bleached branch tossed on hot earth, while patchouli adds a dusty, cocoa-like depth. This is no clean, polite woody scent. It feels raw, slightly feral, as if the fragrance were distilled from a hillside in late August when every plant sweats its own pungent oil.

The drydown softens into balsamic wood and soft amber, but longevity sits around three hours on skin and sillage stays close — a whisper, not a shout. That modest projection is the fragrance’s honest limitation: you wear it for yourself, not for the room. If you crave a scent that wraps you in a warm, almost leathery cocoon of resin and herb, this delivers. But if you expect radiant performance or sweet gourmand comfort, look elsewhere.

Its character is a lone hiker’s coat left overnight on a pine branch, still carrying the scent of campfire and chaparral. Best worn on crisp fall evenings or dark winter nights, when the environment can match its brooding, introspective warmth. It suits someone who prefers their perfume to feel like a private ritual, not a social announcement. One rhetorical question: who else but that person would want to smell like a secret grove at dusk, dry and green and vaguely dangerous? 🌲
