The opening feels thin. Neroli arrives bright and clean, but it lacks the rounded weight that makes the flower feel alive. It reads a little flat, a pale wash of citrus and white floral that does not quite commit to the richness the note can carry. You stand on a sunlit wooden deck, morning air still cool against the rails, and the scent sits close to the skin like a faint mist. Cedar and pine rise from the boards themselves, dry and resinous, mingling with the neroli so that the air smells of fresh planks and crushed petals at once. The wood is not dark or heavy. It is pale and dry, aromatic in a way that feels like walking through a workshop where timber has just been cut. Amber and cashmere musk drift up from the grain, adding a soft powdery warmth that clings to the wood rather than overtpowering it. The musk smooths the edges of the pine, turning the sharp resin into something you want to keep near your sleeve.
