A kitchen fills with steam as fresh coffee pours into a wide mug. White flowers drift from a nearby vase, their petals bright against the dark countertop. A pinch of pepper sits on a wooden board, its sharp scent cutting through the warm air. The room feels awake.
The coffee deepens as it meets lily-of-the-valley and saffron in the heart. Labdanum adds a resinous weight that pulls the flowers down from their high perch. The spice is present but never sharp, resting comfortably beside the bitter roasted beans. It is a dense, golden middle.
Frankincense and benzoin begin to glow as the vanilla spreads through the space. Tobacco leaves sit near the open window, dry and slightly sweet. Amber and musk wrap around the moss, which smells of damp earth after rain. Oud arrives last, a dark wood note that anchors the resinous air without dominating the room.
The steam from the mug continues to rise, carrying traces of vanilla and smoke into the corners of the room where the moss and amber linger on the wooden surfaces, mixing with the fading pepper and the heavy, resinous labdanum that now clings to the sleeves of a sweater left on the chair
