Labdanum, patchouli, amber, benzoin, suede, oud and immortelle carry the drydown. The amber and balsamic accord grows rich, with labdanum and benzoin smoothing the rough edges of patchouli and oud. Suede lends a soft, tactile quality that sits beneath the resinous warmth of frankincense and the steady presence of cedar. Immortelle brings a deep, honeyed herbal tone that threads through the darker notes without turning the blend sugary. The result is a thick, resinous profile that suits a dim room and a quiet evening.
The herbal and aromatic facets are strong throughout, and the suede note can read more like a chemical effect than a natural material. The mix of aldehydes and frankincense sometimes feels thin against the heavy base, creating a gap between the bright top and the dense finish. The fragrance asks patience as the sharper spices settle beside the resins.
