Red wine opens the composition with a dark, fermented fruitiness that feels thick rather than juicy. Palisander rosewood adds a dry, polished timber edge to that opening, keeping the fruit from becoming a syrup. Black pepper sparks across the surface, brief and sharp, then disappears into the benzoin.
Cashmeran and vanilla sit together in the middle, one buttery and the other resinous, while cardamom brings a cool green lift that cuts through the weight. Cypriol pulls the heart toward damp earth and crushed roots. The musk in the top notes lingers here, softening the spices so the transition feels gradual rather than sudden.
Patchouli and sandalwood anchor the base with a soil-and-cream combination that stays near the skin. Leather adds a faintly worn texture, and tonka bean rounds the edges with a gentle sweetness. Ambergris gives the drydown a salty, mineral breath that keeps the wood from feeling too dry.
The vanilla here is not bright or sugary, but warm and slightly powdery. It settles into the amber accord and stays there, quiet and steady, until the fragrance fades.
