Our take

Jump up and Kiss Me Ecstatic launches with a citrus flash that is less sunrise and more warning flare, bitter orange and mandarin scouring the air before the tuberose storms in. That white floral is the whole show, but Julie Pluchet has laced it with something feral, an animalic hum beneath the petals that keeps this from being a polite church lady floral. It wears like a woman who laughs too loud at her own party, a gardenia corsage crushed against a leather jacket at two in the morning. The green edge keeps the sweetness in check, but make no mistake, this is a full volume declaration, not a whisper.

The numbers tell the truth: it sits close to the skin after an hour or two, sillage hovering around modest, longevity a solid four to five hours before it fades into a creamy ghost. That is the weakness. For the price of a Clive Christian, you expect more persistence, less evaporation. You will have to reapply if you want to command the room all evening.

This is for the person who wants old school glamour without the old school politeness. Skip it if you prefer clean laundry scents or shy florals that apologize for existing. Wear it to a dinner that starts with cocktails and ends with a stolen kiss, spring evenings or crisp fall nights when you want your perfume to do the talking.
