Gift To Myself
Fragrance notes
Gift To Myself brings together orange blossom, cassis, citron, peach, and rhubarb with may rose, jasmine, violet, geranium, and rosemary. The list also holds saffron, patchouli, oakmoss, birch, leather, labdanum, oud, ambergris, civet, musk, cashmere wood, sandalwood, tonka bean, heliotrope, vanilla, and benzoin. The result is woody, amber, aromatic, powdery, musky, vanilla, warm spicy, leather, animalic, and fresh spicy all at once.
The deeper impression is shaped by the heavier materials. Leather and birch sit beside oud, labdanum, and oakmoss, while civet and ambergris add an animalic edge. Benzoin, vanilla, tonka bean, and heliotrope soften the resinous woods. Powdery musks blur the sharper edges of saffron and patchouli. It feels dense rather than bright, with a warm, resinous weight that leans far away from fresh citrus.
The aromatic herbs and fresh spicy accord never fully disappear, but they stay in the background while the amber and leather take over. It fits cold evenings when a rich, slightly untamed scent feels right. Someone who enjoys animalic oriental compositions and does not mind a prominent leather presence will get the most out of this.
