Rosewood opens with a clear rose presence built from two distinct rose notes. The May Rose brings a fresh, slightly green floral tone, while the standard rose note adds a fuller, more traditional floral weight. Together they create a bright and unmistakable floral opening that sits at the front of the composition.
The heart introduces sandalwood and saffron. The sandalwood adds a smooth, creamy woodiness that begins to round out the sharp edges of the rose. Saffron contributes a warm, slightly metallic spice that feels dry rather than sweet. The floral and spicy elements sit side by side without one completely overtaking the other.
Amyris and amber form the base. Amyris provides a clean, lightly woody foundation that feels modern and polished. Amber adds a resinous warmth that leans powdery rather than heavy or syrupy. The balsamic accord gives the drydown a faintly smooth, slightly sticky resin character, while the leather accord appears as a subtle, dry texture rather than a dominant scent.
The aromatic accord runs through the structure, keeping the blend from feeling too dense. The metallic note remains present in the background, giving the floral and spicy elements a faint sharpness.
