Our take

Sultani opens with a bright, almost aggressive pop of citrus and pink pepper, but that initial fizz is quickly tamed by cardamom’s dry warmth and a fruity swirl of red berries. The heart is where this fragrance walks a tightrope: a generous damask rose, freesia, and lily of the valley push it dangerously close to feminine territory, yet the peppery spice and a growing powdery sweetness keep it firmly anchored in the masculine Oriental tradition. As it dries down, the florals soften into a plush base of white musk, amber, and sandalwood, with patchouli adding a dusky, slightly earthy edge that prevents the whole thing from turning into a candy shop.

This is a scent that feels like a silk robe slipping off a polished marble floor in late afternoon light. It is undeniably sweet and floral, but the musk and amber give it a velvety, almost synthetic smoothness that leans more mainstream than niche. With a 3.44 sillage, it stays close to the skin after the first hour, making it a better personal pleasure than a room-filler, and longevity at 3.93 is solid for a workday but not an all-nighter.

It suits a man who enjoys a groomed, refined presence, someone who can wear a rose without needing leather to justify it. Skip it if you prefer dry woods or loud projection. Wear it for a spring brunch, a summer evening stroll, or any sunny day where you want to feel soft and confident without shouting.
