Within minutes, the rose arrives, not a dewy bloom but a crushed, velvety petal rubbed dark with raspberry and violet, a jammy richness that feels both lush and brooding. The heart is a crowded garden: damask rose and jasmine push forward while lily-of-the-valley adds a soapy, green flicker, like sunlight cutting through heavy foliage. As it dries down, the sweetness recedes into a mossy, earthy base, where labdanum and patchouli weave a damp, resinous shadow over clean musk. The overall character is a black velvet dress with dirt caked on the hem, elegant and unapologetically earthy.
