The first spray hits with a sharp, bright citrus mix. Rhubarb and grapefruit lead, supported by bergamot, while pink pepper, coriander, pepper, and ginger add a fresh spicy edge. It feels crisp and energetic, like standing in a sunlit courtyard where the air carries a clean, green sharpness. The opening is loud and clear, built for a bright morning where the light is strong and the pace is steady.
That tart energy moves into a soft white floral heart. Gardenia and jasmine smooth the rough edges without making the blend heavy. The aromatic and green accords keep it from becoming too soft, so the transition feels natural. Underneath, moss, vetiver, and earthy notes ground the flowers, while sandalwood, tonka bean, amber, musk, leather, and oud build a woody base that adds weight and warmth to the structure.
The problem is the balance. The leather and oud are present, but they lack depth and read as flat against the vivid citrus and florals. The sweet accord from tonka and amber also feels slightly synthetic next to the natural green moss and vetiver. The materials do not blend into a seamless whole, leaving a gap between the fresh top and the heavy base that never quite closes.
