Frankincense enters the heart with a dry, resinous texture that pairs closely with ambroxan. The ambroxan lends a smooth, amber-like glow that ties the resin to the cedar. Cedarwood brings a dry woodiness that supports the incense without dominating it, so the middle stays balanced between resin and wood.
Oud anchors the base with a deep, woody character that feels prominent throughout the drydown. Vanilla softens the oud with a sweet, creamy layer that prevents the wood from turning harsh. Patchouli adds an earthy, slightly damp soil note that grounds the sweetness and keeps the foundation heavy.
