Believes in You
Fragrance notes
Character
IKKS Believes in You opens with a bright spray of mandarin orange, grapefruit, and bergamot. The citrus is sharp and immediate. The heart introduces cinnamon and pepper, adding a warm spicy texture to the bright opening. The spices feel dry rather than sweet at this stage.
The base is where the fragrance settles into its true character. White musk and cedar provide a clean, woody foundation. Vanilla smooths the edges without making the composition gourmand. The powdery accord becomes more noticeable here, blending with the musk to create a soft finish. The cinnamon from the heart lingers, now wrapped in the creamy vanilla and dry cedar. It feels like a clean sweater that has absorbed a bit of spice from a kitchen.
Jennifer Riley composed this woody aromatic for men in 2013. The transition from the fresh spicy top to the musky base is smooth. It suits cooler days when you want something present but not heavy. The vanilla and musk combination gives it a gentle, reassuring presence. It smells like sunlight hitting a wooden bench that was polished with a touch of spice.
