Our take

BLUE Spirit opens like a spilled jar of blackberry jam soaking into a mossy forest floor at dusk, the sweetness immediate and syrupy from the blackcurrant, strawberry, and coconut. It doesn’t ease in; it arrives with a lush, almost sticky blast of fruit and green notes, edged by a bergamot that flickers and fades. The heart is where the honey and jasmine try to lift the composition into something floral and airy, but the orchid and rose stay heavy, weighed down by the caramel and vanilla already waiting in the base. This is not a fresh blue fragrance despite the name. It is a dense, oriented floral that leans aggressively into warm spicy and earthy tones, with patchouli and moss anchoring the final dry down into a sweet, velvety amber. The longevity sits just above average at 3.63, and sillage at 3.48 keeps it close enough to smell your own wrist but not announce your arrival from across the room, which is merciful given its intensity. This is a winter coat fragrance, best worn when the air bites and you want to wrap yourself in something rich and unapologetic. It feels slightly synthetic in the opening, more mainstream designer than niche, and the 3.43 rating reflects that lack of polish. Skip it if you prefer airy or citrus scents; wear it if you like your sweetness cut with earth and your florals smothered in caramel.
