Feu de Rubis
Fragrance notes
Character
Feu de Rubis opens with a sharp, almost sour lemon that bites the air before the fruit has a chance to soften it. The passionfruit tries to round the edges, but the first minutes feel thin and a little harsh, as if the juice were squeezed too fresh and left the rind in. Jasmine sits beside it, bright and indifferent, not yet folding into the heavier notes that wait underneath.
The scene is a sunlit terrace above a coastal road. A glass of iced tea sweats on the iron table. The wind carries sea salt and warm stone. Someone walks past with a silk scarf that smells of sugar and damp earth. The caramel in Feu de Rubis catches that moment, sticky and golden, while lily-of-the-valley adds a cool stemmy green that keeps the air from turning heavy.
Beneath the flowers, oakmoss drags the scent toward the ground. It is damp and a little animalic, the way a garden wall smells after rain. Ambergris and musk wrap the sweetness so it clings to skin and fabric, turning the bright opening into something deeper and more private as the afternoon settles.
The tropical fruit fades into the background. What remains is the white floral heart, lifted by citrus, resting on a mossy amber base that feels quiet and close.
